Feeling stuck in a fashion rut? Try this
What's your style personality? Knowing yours can boost your fashion confidence, streamline your wardrobe and reduce time spent shopping.
1) Identify your style personality: read the link
clik here and find out your style personality click here and found out your style personality
2) SHAKE UP your look by borrowing elements of a complementary style, try this:
If you are Classic/Elegant
Experiment by mixing up some classic patterns such as stripes and checks
Upscale your jewellery to add a modern twist to your look
If you are Romantic/Feminine
Try mixing some hard pieces in with your feminine look to add contrast, like a denim jacket over floral dress
Break up the soft, floaty feel with some sharper lines, try a formal jacket with t- shirt and cropped flared trousers
If you are Casual/Natural
Bring texture and subtle patterns into play to mix up the minimalist look
Add some interest to your clothes by looking for extra trim and detail around the neckline
If you are Dramatic/Trendsetter
Look out for key trends each season and work them into your wardrobe with just one piece. Don't necessarily do the whole look, for example head-to-toe military!
If you think you look a bit OTT - take off the last accessory that you put on!
Shopping for style: how to make it easy
1. Once you have identified your style personality it's easy to work out where to shop. Don't waste time trawling the high street, once we pass our 20s few of us are likely to relish the prospect of spending an entire Saturday surrounded by teenagers. Identify the shops that stock the brands that suit your style; narrow your shopping choices down to three shops and only visit those. And never spend more than three hours shopping in one go.
2. Make a shopping list (think about it - when was the last time you made a list to go clothes shopping?). Go through your wardrobe before you leave the house. Identify what you need. What will suit your lifestyle? What pieces are you missing? Ask yourself why do you never wear that dress, those skirts? Is it because you have nothing to match them - no shoes to go with the dress, no top to go with the skirts? Add those items to the list.
3. When you get to the shops only buy clothes that match at least three/four other items in your wardrobe. Alternatively, buy a complete outfit.
4. Make the experience pleasurable:)

Spring Trends 2011
Colors are back!!
Forget any shade that is dusty or muted. Spring is all about the-bolder-the-better brights. But what really sets these colors aglow are the unexpected combinations: pink, orange, and deep purple; turquoise and taxi cab yellow; lime and emerald green. It̢۪s this palette of knockout hues that creates such a range of riveting contrasts.
This season dresses, and skirts will remain must haves... But this season fashion designer's have also given us all kind of fun fashions, fashions that will offer wonderful vivid prints, stripes, and geometric prints... The main theme this spring is somewhat tailored, and classic, but with a touch of bold, and edgy.
I'd summarize the main looks this spring summer season as...
SkirtsThere is more choice in skirt shapes and lengths this season. Lengths follow the dress length trends. There are still straight knee length styles around and shorter, fuller, skater skirt styles. Maxi lengths include full and subtle A-line styles. And there are a now more midi skirts available, in keeping with the feminine theme, mainly in subtle A-line styles. Fine pleats are also making a come back in midi and knee length styles.
Shorts are still very short. The micro trend of pant suits (full length legs) and play suits (short legs) is still with us. And dungarees are also in evidence.

I'd summarize the main looks this spring summer season as...
- Floaty and feminine
- Quirky and fun
- Bold colors
- The color that jumps out at the head of the line for spring is orange! Less face it there is no other color that can make a loud fashion statement as orange. So need a new dress? Make it an orange.
Dresses
Dress silhouettes include: rectangle shifts and boxy shapes; hourglass sheaths and 50s styles; floaty, subtle A-line styles. Lengths are all over the place! Mainly still around knee length or above or floor-sweeping maxi lengths. However, midi lengths are also returning.
Maxi styles include floaty fuller skirted styles and straight skirt styles with a thigh high split. Shoulder styles are still around. As are tiered ruffles or ruffles on sleeves and necklines.Skirts
Pants, Trousers and Shorts
The main trend this season is for fuller, wider styles reminiscent of the 70s. This includes flares or bell bottoms and palazzo pants. Widths also include straight wider leg styles not as full as the palazzo -- this style is more flattering for most people. And the return of boot cut jeans -- which will be welcome by many! Choices in slimmer styles include tapered styles either in jean style materials or in soft, drapey silks.Shorts are still very short. The micro trend of pant suits (full length legs) and play suits (short legs) is still with us. And dungarees are also in evidence.
Jackets
A jackets is still a great layering option with many styles around including: biker; blazer; DJ. Jackets also have the advantage of adding authority in work situations and dressing up a casual outfit.A new trend includes sleeveless jackets -- use in place of a waistcoat.
That '70s Show
Spring's most fun trend? A fresh update on the Solid Gold and Studio 54 decade: the '70s. Halter and peasant tops, floppy hats, chunky platforms, high waisted wide leg jeans and halter dresses are just some of the disco-era clothes making a comeback.
Stripes
Whether sporty and nautical or bold and bright, colorful stripes appeared on everything from clothing to accessories this season. Often seen mixed with a contrasting print, spring stripes have a playful and fun feel to them. Gold and Silver
Take a shine to silver and gold this season with spring's metallic trend. Whether you opt for a well-placed accessory or go for a shiny piece of clothing, you'll be golden. Get It White
In stark contrast to the bright colors that are taking over spring, a number of all-white looks strolled down the 2011 runways. Whether you choose to wear white head to toe or to mix it in with a bright piece, this crisp, refreshing look is always worth adding to your wardrobe. Wild and Charming Prints
This season's prints are loud and proud, ranging from bold geometrics and vibrant abstract patterns to tribal-inspired and animal prints. Many designers expertly mixed prints together, but adding just one printed piece to your look works just as well.Though always in style as far as we're concerned, it's still nice to see animal prints walk the runway for so many seasons in a row. Proving to be well worth the investment, every woman should own something leopard and python printed, even if it's just an accessory.

How to dress a plus size
There are some fashion faux-pas that all women need to avoid in dressing--looking bigger than we are or choosing colors that don't match our skin tones are some basics. Dressing for a size 16+ is no different, but in case you want a few tips on how to shop for your size 16 body, learning the most flattering styles and clothes is a great start to transforming your look and your wardrobe.
Learn how to:
- Choose fabrics that compliment your body. Light flowing fabrics like silk, and non-clinging fabrics like basic wool and lightweight knit fabrics are a great choice, while bulky stiff fabrics or stretch Lycra fabrics tend to be unflattering. Most natural fabrics are also a great choice.
- Buy the right size and fit. While it is often tempting to shop down a size to encourage ourselves to diet or exercise, buying the proper size for your current self can make the difference between a stunning outfit and a fashion blunder. Always try on your clothes and if you feel you will get the best fit for your body by going up or down a size, do so. You can always tailor down from a larger size to fit your body perfectly.
- Wear the right undergarments. Wearing a great bra or panty can make all the difference in the fit of your clothes. This means that great dressing starts from the basics up; your bras should fit you well and the proper fitting panty will keep you from getting those lines that all women dread showing through their clothing from their undergarments. Having a good slip in your wardrobe is also a great idea.
Highlight your assets. With all fashion, the goal should be to draw the eye to the areas we choose to highlight. If you love your waist or your legs, choose fabrics and clothing that will attract attention there. That means adding a belt, to show your curves, or wearing a nice calf length skirt to show off your legs. Patterns can be a great way to do this as well. Vertical lines are always slimming, but diagonal patterns and designs will do the trick just as well
- Make a clean line by wearing one color. Though monochrome style isn't always the most fun, remember that black isn't the only way to go. However bright or light you want to wear your outfit, a simple long dress or pantsuit is a great way to give a clean silhouette and compliments every figure

Fashion Colors Trends SPRING 2011
With Spring just a few weeks away, it’s a great time to talk about the exciting color trends for Spring and Summer 2011. The next two seasons are all about bright, festive, and hopeful colors. With many color trends focused on the ocean, blue is a big color to watch for this season. To accent your colorful outfit, nothing works better than vintage gold jewelry or some jewel-toned stones, like sapphires and emeralds.
Outfits in monotonous single colors with same shade pumps, bags and other accessories are a thing of past. You need to add a splash of colors to your look to floor one and all by your unique dressing sense. Opt for shoes in contrasting colors, bright hair accessories or spunky handbags to jazz up your look.
The Spring 2011 Color Trends offer a wide choice of color palates to select from. You can opt for vibrant hues or settle for muted shades as per your taste and liking. The neutrals can look good too, especially if you want a more somber look. Just be careful in selecting the color combination and try to strike a balance between being too predictable and going over the top.
